SUSA Adds Neville, Balzan To WPSL Roster

SUSA FC continues to fill out its roster ahead of its inaugural WPSL season and has added two additional players with Long Island roots.

Commack’s Erin Neville and Stony Brook’s Jen Balzan will play for SUSA, which kicks off its WPSL schedule June 2 against New York Athletic Club at Bayport-Blue Point High School.

A graduate of Commack High School, Neville played her collegiate soccer at Boston University where she made 80 appearances over four years and had two goals and seven assists.

Balzan, a graduate of Ward Melville High School, spent her junior year at Towson after spending her first two years at the University of Connecticut.

Neville and Balzan join the previous signings by SUSA: Joining SUSA are Julia Duffy of Oceanside, who currently plays her college ball at LIU Post; Lindenhurst’s Claudia Cagnina of St. John’s University; Amanda Fitzgerald of Holbrook, who currently plays for Fairleigh Dickinson University; East Northport’s Kristin Desmond, of Hofstra University; Rebecca Raber of Bayport, who played at Binghamton University; and Amber Birchwell of Mastic, who currently plays at Providence College.
