Senior Martieon Watson (Vessigny, Trinidad) was named Co-America East Offensive Player of the Week following his assist and game-winning goal over Binghamton on Saturday night.
The honor is Watson’s second of his Stony Brook career. Justin Freitas of Vermont was the other recipient of Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
In the 85th minute of a 1-1 tie, Watson scored the game-winner when he converted on a header off a pass from senior Serge Gamwanya (Trondheim, Norway). Watson also picked up an assist when Trausti Birgisson (Kopavogur, Iceland) scored in the 53rd minute.
With the win, the Seawolves (6-3-2, 3-0-0 AE) took sole possession of first place in the America East.
