Saager, a redshirt junior from East Islip, ranks fifth in the nation in points (16) and eighth in goals (6). She becomes the first BU player to win the honor three times in a single season.
During a 1-0-1 week for the Bearcats, Saager tallied two goals. She scored the team’s lone goal in a 1-1 road draw Thursday at Lafayette and then scored the first goal in BU’s 2-0 win at Cornell on Sunday. Saager has produced at least one point in all eight games this season and has scored a goal in four straight.
