Binghamton University’s Kayla Saager’s winding, weaving movement through four University of New Hampshire defenders was named one of the NCAA’s Top-10 plays of the week. (Video below)
With the Bearcats trailing 1-0, the East Islip native tied the game in the 73rd minute as she controlled the ball through the New Hampshire defense and tucked a shot inside the left post. Binghamton, however, would concede a second goal 10 minutes later and lose 2-1.
Through the team’s first 11 games, Saager has 8 goals and 5 assists, leading the Bearcats in both categories.
