Sky Blue FC has re-signed forward McKenzie Meehan to a new contract at the start of the 2019 National Women’s Soccer League season. Per team and league policies, terms of the contract were not announced.
“I am excited and grateful to be joining Sky Blue for a third season,” Meehan said. “I’m looking forward to preparing with my teammates for a great season ahead!”
During her first two years, she appeared in 28 matches and recorded one assist. Selected No. 23 overall in the 2017 NWSL College Draft, Meehan made her professional debut on April 30, 2017, against FC Kansas City.
“McKenzie’s vision and movement enable her to simplify even the most difficult situations on the pitch,” Head Coach Denise Reddy said. “In addition to her on-field talent, McKenzie has an amazing energy that is contagious to those around her, making her a key piece to our roster.”
