Currently a member of Seattle Reign and a regular member of the U.S. Women’s National Team, academy officials said Long will continue working with the academy as her club and national team commitments allow.

Born in Huntington, Long’s first soccer experience was with Long Island Junior Soccer League’s Northport/Cow Harbor Soccer Club. She would go on to play with Albertson, where she won four consecutive New York State Open Cup titles.

During her Northport High School days, Long was a standout player and was named Newsday’s Player of the Year following her junior and senior seasons. Long would go on to play her college ball at Penn State and later at North Carolina.

Professionally, Long’s NWSL career has included tenures with Sky Blue FC, Portland Thorns FC and Seattle Reign FC, and she has also played overseas with Paris-Saint Germain. She has 39 caps for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
