LI’s Dunn, Long Score In NWSL Action

Two native Long Islanders had big goals for their respective teams in Week 5 of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

In Houston, Crystal Dunn scored the first goal for the North Carolina Courage in the third minute of their 2-0 win over the Houston Dash. The Rockville Centre native’s tally was her third goal of the season.

In Orlando, Allie Long scored Seattle Reign’s lone goal in its 1-1 tie with the Orlando Pride. The Northport native’s goal came in the 33rd minute and was Long’s first as a member of the Reign. She played the past five season with the Portland Thorns.
