LIU Post, Adelphi Each Place Five On USC Women’s All-Region Teams

The women’s soccer teams at LIU Post and Adelphi each had five players named to the United Soccer Coaches East All-Region teams.

First Team members from LIU Post include junior goalkeeper Hillevi Eklow, senior defense Kristen Breihof (Levittown) and sophomore midfielder Gabrielle Clark. Their Pioneers teammates sophomore forward Julia Duffy (Oceanside) and junior forward Andrea Huntzinger were named to the Second Team.

The Adelphi five on the All-Region teams include First Team honorees senior forward Jeanine Nunez (Staten Island) and senior midfielder Taylor Sipos (Merrick). Panthers on the Second Team are senior defender Nicole Forte (Huntington) and freshman goalkeeper Isabel Sandstrom, while freshman defender Mia York secured a spot on the Third Team.

In addition to the 10 total players from LIU Post and Adelphi, the USC All-Region teams also include Long Islanders playing at other colleges and universities.

First Team: Trista Seara, sophomore defense, Mercy College, from Lindenhurst

Second Team: Ariana Weingrad, senior midfielder, University of Bridgeport, Hicksville

Third Team: Paige Salmon, senior goalkeeper, Southern New Hampshire University, West Hempstead; Totianyu Guadalupe, senior defense, College of Saint Rose, Deer Park; Dina Simonian, senior midfielder, NYIT, Westbury.
