As the goalkeeper for the Dix Hills Hurricanes, Marc DePasquale and his teammates have enjoyed a great deal of success at the state and national levels.
Now, the Huntington Station resident has been awarded a Livio D’Arpino Scholarship by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. The scholarship is given to local soccer players who have achieved academic and athletic success and volunteered their time through community service.
Since the age of 12, DePasquale has been a member of the Hurricanes, which have won the State Open Cup the past four years. In addition, the team has also been U.S. Youth Soccer National League champions.
While enjoying success on the field, DePasquale has also been active off the pitch. A member of the National Honor Society, he maintained a 96 average at Walt Whitman High School while also volunteering the Wildcats Booster Club and the Huntington Manor Firehouse.
