For 200 minutes this past week, Jenna Borresen stood guard in front of goal for Hofstra’s Women’s Soccer Team and did not allow a goal in stopping all six shots she faced.
For her efforts, the East Meadow native and a graduate of East Meadow High School was named the Colonial Athletic Association’s Defensive Player of the Week.
During the past week, Borresen made four saves in the Pride’s 1-0 win over Fordham. She then followed that clean sheet with another in Hofstra’s 0-0 draw vs. Monmouth. On the season, the senior has played in three matches, making two starts having played 212 minutes without allowing a goal.
