Roccaro spent the NWSL 2017 season with the Houston Dash and played in 18 games.
She was drafted fifth overall by Houston in the 2016 NWSL College Draft. Prior to joining the Dash, Roccaro was a standout at Notre Dame and on the youth national team level as a co-captain for the U-20 US Women’s National Team in 2014.
“Cari needed a change of venue and already she has embraced our culture and identity,” said Paul Riley, North Carolina’s head coach. “I know her strengths very well having coached her at the youth level. She is simple, constructive, good range of passing and a workaholic. She still has huge aspirations and at this point, she needs to be brave, hungry and fearless. She has the talent and now the environment to push her game on.”
