Long Islanders Crystal Dunn and Allie Long are among the 23 players on the U.S. Women’s National Team Roster for the upcoming Tournament of Nations.
Head coach Jill Ellis choose a mix of national team veterans and some newcomers for the tournament that will be held at various West Coast venues from July 27 through August 3. The four-team tournament includes the United States, Australia, Brazil and Japan. All matches will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
The U.S. will open the three-game tournament on July 27 vs. Australia at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Game time is 10 p.m. Eastern. On July 30, the World Cup Champions will face Brazil at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego at 8 p.m. Eastern and will close out the Tournament of Nations on August 3 vs. Japan at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Game time is 10 p.m. Eastern.
