A group of 60 college players including Dylan Greenberg of Dix Hills, will take part in the adidas MLS Player Combine next month in Orlando.
A redshirt senior at the University of Connecticut, Greenberg recently completed his final season with the Huskies. The team finished the season 12-6-2 and reached the second round the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament.
During his time at UConn, the Half Hollow Hills West graduate started all of the 74 games he played. He finished with three goals and four assists.
Greenberg was redshirted in his sophomore year after suffering a season-ending injury
During his senior season, he made 19 starts at left back. He was named to the AAC All-Conference Second team and the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team.
The MLS Combine will be held from January 3-9 at Orlando City Stadium. Prospective selections in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft will have an opportunity to play scrimmages for scouts of all MLS teams and go through various tests and speak to interested teams.
The SuperDraft will be held on January 11 at McCormick Place convention center in Chicago. More players will be added to the list of MLS Combine invitees ahead of the event.
