2018 Long Island Girls Recruits: America East Conference

Colleges across the country are announcing high school commitments for the 2018 season. In a continuing series, SleterFC.com will highlight those Long Island players that are about to embark on the next step of their playing careers.

Below, we highlight teams from the America East Conference that as of May 11 have announced their respective commitments.

University of Albany

Chloe Argenziano
Chloe Argenziano

Chloe Argenziano | Midfield | West Sayville | Sayville High School
A three-year varsity soccer player at Sayville High School, Argenziano was a senior team captain and had four goals and four assists. She was a Suffolk County All-League player in 2016 and All-County player in 2017, helping the team to a Top-3 league finish as a senior.

Binghamton University

Nicole Scudero
Nicole Scudero

Nicole Scudero | Midfield | Hauppauge | Hauppauge High School
A four-year varsity starter in high school, Scudero is a two-time All-Long Island selection and four-time All-County choice and led Hauppauge to two league championships and one county runner-up. She scored 36 career goals, was a member of the ENY ODP State team that in 2015 won the Region I title. Scudero also played club ball with HBC Impact 00 winning three state titles and three Region I titles.

Haylee Poltorak
Haylee Poltorak

Haylee Poltorak | Goalkeeper | Massapequa | Massapequa High School
A First Team All-State goalkeeper for Massapequa, Poltorak help lead her team to three consecutive state final appearances with a state title during her sophomore season. In her senior season, she posted an 0.41 goals against average with 101 saves. Poltorak has also been named a Newsday Top-10 Players to Watch and Top Drawer Soccer Top-20 Players to Watch.

University of New Hampshire

Alyssa DiLorenzo
Alyssa DiLorenzo

Alyssa Di Lorenzo | Defender/Forward | Floral Park | Floral Park High School
A four-year varsity starter and three-year captain, Di Lorenzo was named the NCGSCA Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and was the Albertson Fury Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. She is also a four-sport varsity athlete (soccer, basketball, track and lacrosse).

Cat Sheppard
Cat Sheppard

Cat Sheppard | Goalkeeper | Nesconset | Smithtown East High School
A three-year varsity starter, Sheppard was team captain in 2017 and named All-County that same year. She plays club ball with East Meadow Hotspur of the ECNL.

University of Vermont

Lydia Kessel
Lydia Kessel

Lydia Kessel | Goalkeeper | Wading River, NY | Shoreham-Wading River High School
Kessel owned a career record of 62-7-6 with 48 shutouts during her high school playing days. She conceded only 28 goals over four years as the Wildcats went undefeated and captured Suffolk County Class A crowns during her sophomore and senior seasons. During the title runs, Kessel was honored as the Championship Most Valuable Player. She was a three-time All-State Selection and two-time Suffolk County Small School Goalkeeper of the Year honoree.

Alexa Mihale
Alexa Mihale

Alexa Mihale | Midfield | Oceanside | Oceanside High School
Mihale was the New York Conference AA 2 Player of the Year as a senior and helped Oceanside earn a spot in the state semifinals as a sophomore and senior. Mihale was a three-time All-Conference selection for Oceanside. As a senior, she scored eight goals and had 12 assists.
